Vietnam’s Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is arriving in Kathmandu on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Nepal. She is visiting at the invitation of Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this will be the first high-level visit from Vietnam to Nepal, taking place from August 23 to 25.
During the visit, Vice President Yadav and his Vietnamese counterpart will hold delegation-level talks in Kathmandu on August 24. She will also meet other senior leaders and officials of Nepal.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam, which makes the visit especially significant. Vice President Xuan will return home on August 25 after completing her visit.
