Body found in burned Bhatbhateni Biratnagar store

A dead body has been found inside the Bhatbhateni Super Market in Biratnagar. The body was discovered on Monday in a burned condition on the second floor of the store, which had been set on fire during the recent Gen Z protests.

Morang police chief SP Narayan Prasad Chimariya confirmed the finding. Workers found the body while cleaning the damaged store, but the person has not been identified because it was badly burned.

Earlier, on Friday, four bodies were recovered from Bhattabhateni’s Dharan branch.

Last Tuesday, four out of five Bhatbhateni stores in Koshi Province were attacked with arson and looting. Branches in Biratnagar, Dharan, Damak, and Birtamod were destroyed, while locals managed to save the Itahari branch.
