Indian actor Pradeep Rawat (Ghajini Villain) has been signed for the upcoming Nepali movie ‘Aa Bata Aama’, which will be directed by Chandra Panta.
Rawat had made his debut in Nepali cinema through Pant’s earlier film ‘Hrashwo Deergha’. In a press release, director Pant confirmed that Rawat has now officially joined his next film project.
Pant said, “We have signed Pradeep Rawat for ‘Aa Bata Aama’. He will be playing the role of Pal Shah’s father in the movie. His character will reflect a typical Nepali cultural style.”
Rawat also expressed his excitement about working in another Nepali film. In his previous Nepali movie, he played the role of Neeta Dhungana’s father.
Pradeep Rawat is well-known for playing the villain in the Bollywood film ‘Ghajini’, where he appeared alongside Aamir Khan. The movie was popular in Nepal as well.
Previously, Bipana Thapa and Pal Shah were already confirmed as lead actors in this film. Bipana had made her comeback to the Nepali film industry after 16 years through Pant’s film Hrashwo Deergha.
The script for Aa Bata Aama is written by Abhimanyu Nirabi, and the filming is set to begin in Bhadra (August–September). Director Pant said the cast and technical team will be finalized soon.
The theme poster was released two weeks ago. The director has also announced the release date: the film will hit theaters on 15th Falgun 2081 (February 27, 2025).
