The Judicial Service Commission has appointed Bimal Paudel as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.
The decision was made during a meeting held on Monday morning. Paudel was already serving as a registrar at the Supreme Court before this promotion.
The position became vacant after the retirement of Devendra Raj Dhakal last Sunday, who stepped down upon reaching the retirement age of 58.
The practice of appointing a Chief Registrar, equivalent to a Chief Secretary, at the Supreme Court has been in place since 2074 B.S (2017).
