Body of Missing Boy Found Buried in Banke Field

In Naulapur, Baijnath Rural Municipality-4 of Banke, the body of a young boy, about 9 years old, was found buried in a field.

According to Inspector Resham Paudel of Kohalpur Area Police Office, the boy has been identified as Kushal, the son of Yashoda Budha, who lived in Kohalpur. His body was buried in a small pit. People who had gone to graze goats noticed a boy’s foot sticking out of the ground and informed the police. The police then arrived and recovered the body.

Kushal, a Grade 3 student at Kohalpur Secondary School, had been missing since April 20. His mother, Yashoda, had filed a missing person report on April 21 at the Kohalpur Police Office.

Police said Kushal’s father had passed away earlier and his mother had remarried. The police have taken Kushal’s mother and stepfather into custody for investigation.
