Due to bad weather, the bodies of two people found in Gosaikunda, Rasuwa, have not been brought to Kathmandu yet.

Heavy rainfall has made it impossible for helicopters to reach or land in the area. So, the bodies are currently kept in a shelter made for pilgrims in Gosaikunda.

According to Armed Police Force’s deputy spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa, a joint security team from the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force Unit No. 20 Rasuwa, and Nepal Police is stationed at the location for security.

The two people had gone missing while bathing in Gosaikunda on Shrawan 11 (July 27). Their bodies were recovered the next morning July 28 (Shrawan 12) around 11 a.m. by a Nepali Army team from the Chandanwati post.

The victims were identified as 25-year-old Manoj Neupane from Belbari-11, Morang, and 29-year-old Sujan Dhakal from Biratnagar-3, Morang.

Authorities said if the weather clears, the bodies will be airlifted to Kathmandu tomorrow.
