Since June 26, continuous monsoon rains and sudden floods have killed 98 people and injured at least 185 in Pakistan, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
In the past 24 hours alone, 8 people lost their lives and 27 others were injured in rain-related incidents.
Punjab province has been the worst-hit, with 37 deaths, including 20 children. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province reported 30 deaths.
Authorities have warned of more rainfall in the coming days and urged residents, especially those in low-lying and flood-prone areas, to remain cautious and prepared.
Rescue and relief efforts are ongoing in the most affected areas, the NDMA stated.
