A passenger van traveling from Nepalgunj to Chaurjahari, Rukum West met with an accident in Salyan on Thursday around 12 PM. The van (number Bhe 1 Kha 3994) crashed near Netan, in Kumakh Rural Municipality-2.
According to Inspector Dharmendra Khadka of the Ragechaur Police Office, police were immediately sent to the site after getting the information. Some passengers are seriously injured.
Passenger Om KC, who was involved in the rescue, said the van fell from an upper bend in the road to a lower one. Around 12 people, including the driver Paras Acharya, were injured — some of them seriously.
Rescue teams, including municipal police and an ambulance from Chaurjahari, have reached the accident site. Full details are yet to come, and rescue efforts are still ongoing.
