In the last three hours, the highest rainfall in Nepal was recorded in Kanchanpur district.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, 48.8 millimeters of rain was recorded at the Hanumannagar measurement center in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur. This was the highest rainfall recorded across the country during that period. The department has warned that more rain is likely and has asked people to stay alert.

The department also stated that light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is currently occurring in several areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in Gandaki province.

It has again urged everyone to take necessary precautions as more rainfall is expected.
