Lumbini Lions appoint Bhawana Ghimire as new CEO
Lumbini Lions, a team in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed Bhawana Ghimire as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Ghimire, who was previously the CEO of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), has experience in cricket management and leadership. The club believes her skills will help in achieving their long-term goals and strategic plans.
She has worked in both domestic and international cricket, including as a consultant for several ICC events.
The team said that her appointment will help improve team management and support the development of players.
Speaking about the appointment, Lumbini Lions President Ishwar GC said, “We are very happy to welcome Bhawana Ghimire to the Lions family. Her experience and dedication to cricket will take Lumbini Lions to new heights. We believe her leadership will make our journey more inspiring and successful.”
For the upcoming second season of the NPL, Lumbini Lions has retained six players, including last season’s marquee player and captain Rohit Paudel.
