Lumbini cultural municipality mayor Sajaruddin Musalman (Khan) has passed away.
According to ward chair Akramuddin Nau Musalman, Mayor Khan died of a heart attack around 9 am today.
He had just returned home from a visit to Malaysia on Friday. This morning, after facing health problems, he was being taken to Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa, but he died on the way.
Ward chair Musalman said, “He returned from Malaysia only yesterday. He was fine when he went to sleep at night, but in the morning he felt unwell. While taking him to the hospital, he passed away.”
Mayor Khan was elected from the Nepali Congress party. He was 70 years old.
