A man has been found dead in the Phoksikhola river, located in Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-1 of Palpa.
According to DSP Sunil Malla from the District Police Office Palpa, the deceased is 65-year-old Krishna Bahadur Chidi, a resident of Pipratung in the same area.
He had left home saying he was going to a religious event in Beltari. Later, his body was found in the river about 300 meters west of his house, below a cliff.
His body has been sent to the District Hospital for post-mortem.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
