Missing man from Gorkha found dead after 10 days

Prashant Silwal from Gorkha was found dead 10 days after going missing.

Silwal, 42, from Siranchaur Rural Municipality–8, Jowbari, disappeared after getting off a microbus at Ekle Phant in Tanahun on the morning of Asar 28 (July 12). His body was found on Tuesday evening near the dam of the Triveni River in Nawalparasi.

Silwal, who lived in Kathmandu and ran a business, had turned off his phone and did not inform his family when he went missing, said his relative Dipak Kandel.

After the family reported him missing to Gorkha Police, a search began. The police found his body after 10 days.

The body has been taken to Madhyabindu Hospital for post-mortem. After that, it will be handed over to the family for final rites, police said.
