One person has gone missing after being swept away by a river in Makawanpur.
25-year-old Binod Bamjan from Tallo Chhap, Makwanpur Gadhi Rural Municipality-2, is missing.
He was carried away by the Karki River on Friday afternoon while returning home from Sukaura, Ward-7 of the same rural municipality.
Although a footbridge made of pipes was in place for crossing the river, the sudden rise in water flow swept Binod away, police said.
Police and local residents are actively searching for him.
