Police and Woman Argue Over Scooter Incident in Kailali

A video of an argument between a woman and a police officer in Kailali is currently trending on social media. The incident happened on Saturday at a road in Tikapur Municipality-7.

In the video, the woman is seen verbally abusing the police officer using informal and disrespectful language after being stopped. The situation nearly turned physical.

The woman, identified as Rajkumari Kunwar Shah, was sitting on a scooter being driven by an underage boy. The police, who were in plain clothes, stopped them because the boy did not have a license.

Shah questioned the police about why they stopped the scooter and claimed she had both her license and the blue book. The officer responded that allowing a minor to drive was illegal.

The boy himself admitted to driving the scooter. During the exchange, the woman appeared to knock the police officer’s phone to the ground, which led to further tension. Both sides got angry, and a physical confrontation nearly occurred.

Although the woman initially appeared to be at fault, the District Police Office in Kailali stated that the officer should not have gotten physical. SP Balanar Singh Rana said an investigation is underway to understand exactly what happened and who was at fault.

“We’ve started an investigation immediately after learning about the incident. The facts will come out after the inquiry,” said SP Rana.
