Public transportation, which had stopped since last Tuesday, started running again from Saturday. On Friday, only a few vehicles were seen, but from Saturday morning, buses and taxis began moving in large numbers.

Buses from Chitwan have also left for Kathmandu.

During the Gen Z protest on Monday, vehicles were running in most areas except around New Baneshwor. But from Tuesday, when protests spread across the valley, all public transport stopped. The army had also imposed a curfew, so vehicles were not allowed to move.

Since the curfew was lifted on Saturday morning, life in Kathmandu is returning to normal. Public buses, taxis, and other vehicles are running from early morning.

Shops have also started reopening as daily life becomes easier. In damaged areas, shopkeepers began cleaning early in the morning.

The army, which had been deployed on the streets since Tuesday night, has now returned.
