Two young children died after falling into a septic tank in Rautahat.
The victims were one-year-old Ranje Sah, son of Garima Sah, and one-year-old Khushbu Sah, daughter of Jagdish Sah. Both were from Nibuwa Tole, Chandrapur Municipality-10.
According to Rautahat police, the incident happened around 7:45 PM on Tuesday evening while the children were playing. They accidentally fell into a septic tank of a toilet owned by local resident Hriday Paswan.
They were immediately rescued and taken to the government hospital in Chapur, but doctors declared them dead at 8:15 PM.
Police said they are still investigating the incident.
