Three people safely rescued from Rapti River in Banke

Three people who were trapped in the Rapti River at Goradhui, Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-5 of Banke district, have been safely rescued.

The rescued individuals are 52-year-old Man Singh Dhami, 69-year-old Lil Bahadur Khatri, and 50-year-old Sasu Wali, all residents of the same area. They are all reported to be in normal condition.

The rescue was carried out by the Armed Police Force on Wednesday. The three had gone to graze cattle when sudden flooding in the Rapti River left them stranded on a river island.

After receiving the information, a rescue team including divers from Armed Police Force Nepal No. 42 Reserve Unit, Shamshergunj, Banke, reached the spot and brought them to safety.
