Jajarkot declared as fully immunized and sustainable district

Jajarkot has been officially declared a fully immunized and sustainable district. This announcement comes after all children aged 16 to 23 months in all seven local levels of the district received every vaccine listed in the national immunization schedule.

Dr. Sunil Pun, head of the Jajarkot Health Service Office, said the district achieved full immunization coverage after all targeted children received the required vaccines on time.

As part of the full immunization campaign, thousands of children in the district were vaccinated. The announcement program saw the presence of health officials, ward chairpersons, female community health volunteers, local organizations, journalists, and community representatives.

Officials also committed to working together to maintain this achievement in the future. The program discussed strategies and plans to further improve access to vaccines and child health services.

This success in Jajarkot supports the Ministry of Health’s goal of “Full Immunization for All Children” and sets an example for other districts in Karnali Province.
