Texas shooting kills three Nepali-speaking Bhutanese refugees

In Texas, USA, a shooting incident has killed three Nepali-speaking Bhutanese refugees from the same family, including a young child.

According to CBS News, the victims were 53-year-old Lalit Pradhan, his 35-year-old wife Ranjana Shrestha, and their 3-year-old son Pranish. The incident happened last Saturday morning in an apartment in Dallas, Texas.

Police said Ranjana and Pranish were found dead at the scene with gunshot wounds, while Lalit was found seriously injured. He died later during treatment.

Lalit had moved to the US about 15 years ago from the Bhutanese refugee camp in Sanischare, eastern Morang. Ranjana’s parental home is in Kathmandu.
