Serbian star Ljubica Kecman arrives in Kathmandu for Everest women’s volleyball league

Serbian outside hitter Ljubica Kecman, 31, has arrived in Kathmandu to play in the Everest Women’s Volleyball League.

She will play for Pokhara Ninjas as their foreign player. The club officially announced her signing soon after her arrival. She is the first foreign player to come to Nepal for this season.

Kecman has previously played in top leagues of Turkey, France (league and cup), Greece, Poland, Germany’s Bundesliga, and Romania. She also represented Serbia’s U-20 and U-21 national teams in the past.

For Pokhara Ninjas, Pragyati Nath is the marquee player, while Rupesh Bista is the head coach.

The second season of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League, organized by Infinity Dreams, will take place in Pokhara from Bhadra 20 to 28 (September 5 to 13).
