TV actress Priya Marathe passes away at 38 after long battle with cancer
Priya Marathe, a well-known actress from popular Hindi TV serials like Pavitra Rishta, Kasamh Se and Uttaran, passed away on Sunday at the age of 38. She had been fighting cancer for many years.
She died at her home on Mira Road, Mumbai, at 4 am. Many celebrities have expressed grief over her death.
Priya married Shantanu Moghe, son of veteran actor Shrikant Moghe, in April 2012.
Her acting journey began with theatre before moving to Marathi television in 2005. In 2008, she entered the Hindi TV industry with Kasamh Se, where she played the role of Vidya Bali.
Priya gained fame in 2009 with the hit show Pavitra Rishta, where she played the negative role of Varsha. Later, she acted in several popular TV shows including Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Comedy Circus, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Bhage Re Mann and Ayushmann Bhavah.
