The player auction for the second season of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League, organized by Infinity Dreams, is now fully prepared. The auction will take place on Shrawan 2 at 3 PM at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu.

Following the success of the first season last year, the second edition of Nepal’s women’s franchise volleyball league is scheduled to begin from Bhadra 20.

One of the main highlights this year is the introduction of the player auction system for the first time. Through this auction, six franchise teams will compete to sign their preferred players. Organizers believe this system will take women’s volleyball in Nepal to a new level.

The six competing teams this season are:

  • Karnali Yashvis
  • Lalitpur Queens
  • Kathmandu Spikers
  • Madhesh United
  • Pokhara Ninjas
  • Lumbini

A total of 68 players have been listed for the auction. They are divided into three categories: A, B, and C.
Each team must select:

  • 1 player from Category A
  • 3 players from Category B
  • 3 players from Category C

There are 13 players in Category A. Each team has already picked one marquee player, and the remaining 7 players will be available in the auction. Category B has 43 players, while Category C has 18.

If a player goes unsold in a category, they can be moved to a lower category according to the rules.

According to the organizers, this auction is expected to introduce a new chapter of professionalism and competition in Nepali women’s volleyball.
