12 Arrested Across Nepal with Illegal Drugs

Police say they are continuing investigations into all these cases.

Police have arrested 12 people from different parts of Nepal for possessing illegal drugs. The arrests took place in districts including Makwanpur, Chitwan, Morang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Surkhet, and Sankhuwasabha.

In Makwanpur, 19-year-old Bishal Sarki from Huprachaur, Hetauda-4, was caught in Pipalbot, Hetauda-15, with brown heroin-like drugs. In Morang, 31-year-old Saran Dangi from Sundarharaicha-2 was arrested at Bank Road, Biratnagar-15.

In Chitwan, 61-year-old Shantikumari Mahato and 25-year-old Bishal Sunar from Bharatpur-26 were caught with Tramadol and suspected marijuana.

Sanjukumar Chaudhary, 25, of Dudhiyapur, Kailari-8, was arrested in Kailali. In Kanchanpur, 39-year-old Karan Bahadur Deuba, 35-year-old Rohit Shahi from Ganyapdhura, Dadeldhura, and 25-year-old Ram Bahadur Bista from Shuklaphanta-11 were also arrested.

In Surkhet, 21-year-old Anish Nepali from Nepalgunj-14, Banke was caught with brown sugar-like drugs in Birendranagar-14, Katuka.

In Sankhuwasabha, police arrested 28-year-old Ram Bahadur Adhikari and 26-year-old Keshav Ghimire from Dharmadevi-4, and 38-year-old Devendra Thapa from Madi-6 with opium-like drugs.

Police say they are continuing investigations into all these cases.
