Bus accident in Kapilvastu: All 29 injured identified, 3 in critical condition

A bus traveling from Kathmandu to Dang met with an accident early this morning at Buddhabhumi Municipality-9 in Kapilvastu, along the East-West Highway. The bus, with registration number Lumbini Province 02-001 Kha 0045, crashed around 4 AM, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohanmani Adhikari.

According to the police, the bus was carrying 30 passengers. Out of them, 29 were injured, and their identities have been confirmed. All injured passengers were rescued and taken to Sanjivani Community Hospital in Chandrauta. Some of them have been referred to Butwal for further treatment.

Injury conditions

Among the 29 injured:

• 3 are in serious condition
• 20 have moderate injuries
• 6 suffered minor injuries

The road is currently operating in only one direction as efforts to remove the bus from the site continue.
