Nepal will play against defending champions Bangladesh today in their second match of the ongoing SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship in Bangladesh.

The match will take place at the Bashundhara Kings Arena and is scheduled to kick off at 6:45 PM Nepali time.

In their first game, Nepal defeated Bhutan with a strong 6-1 win on Friday. Bangladesh also started their campaign with a big 9-1 victory over Sri Lanka.

Nepal is aiming to beat Bangladesh and strengthen its title hopes, while also taking revenge for the final loss against the same team in the previous edition. In recent years, Bangladesh has shown notable progress in both senior and youth levels of women’s football.

Nepal’s head coach Yam Prasad Gurung had said before the tournament that the team is targeting the title. Remembering the previous final loss, he mentioned that this is the right moment to turn the result around.

Both Nepal and Bangladesh have 3 points each, but Bangladesh is ahead due to better goal difference. The championship is being held in a double round-robin format with four teams. The team with the highest points at the end of the tournament will be crowned champions.
