Three injured by jackal attack in Makawanpur

Three people were injured when a jackal attacked them in Manahari Rural Municipality-6, Makawanpur. They are receiving treatment in hospitals in Chitwan and Hetauda.

The injured are 30-year-old Tara Thapa Tamang, 48-year-old Hari Paudel, and 52-year-old Ali Ullah, all from Manahari-6.

Tamang and Paudel are being treated at Gadyauli Medical in Chitwan, while Ullah is receiving care at Hetauda Hospital. The jackal bit all three on their legs.

The incident happened on Monday when the jackal suddenly appeared from Lothar Community Forest along the East-West Highway and attacked the three men walking on the road. After biting them, the jackal ran back into the forest.

Locals said the jackal might have been disturbed or behaving unusually.
