A total of 1,368 people were injured during the protests. Out of them, 321 are still in hospitals, while 949 have already been discharged, said ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki.

The protests began against the shutdown of social media and government mismanagement. Police responded with force, leading to clashes.

The ministry reported deaths in several hospitals: 6 in Civil Hospital, 8 in National Trauma Center, 5 in Bheri Hospital, 3 in Everest Hospital, 3 in Frontline Hospital, 2 each in KMC Hospital, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, and Bayodha Hospital, and 1 each in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Birta City Hospital, and BNC Hospital.

The worst clashes happened near the parliament building in New Baneshwor, where protesters broke through police barricades. Police opened fire, and many injured were rushed to hospitals. Some died on the way, while others passed away during treatment.
