A dead tiger was found today in the Janashakti Community Forest, located in Tikapur Municipality-2.
According to Dilip Yadav, head of the Sub-Division Forest Office Tikapur, the body belonged to an adult female tiger. Injuries were found on the front part of the tiger’s body.
Locals noticed a bad smell and informed the authorities. Officials believe the tiger may have died a few days ago, possibly due to an attack by a male tiger.
A technical team, including Dr. Ayush Maharjan from Bardiya National Park, visited the site for further investigation. The tiger’s body was buried in the presence of forest staff and local representatives, and some parts were sent for post-mortem to learn more about the cause of death.
