Roads connecting Kathmandu and Hetauda have been blocked.
According to Makawanpur Police, landslides at Bharyang Danda of Bhimphedi-8 along the Kanti Lokpath, and at Baghjhura of Bhimphedi-1 along the Tribhuvan Highway, caused the obstruction.
Around 3:15 pm on Friday, floods carrying sand and gravel blocked the Tribhuvan Highway at Baghjhura, making the road completely impassable.
Similarly, heavy rainfall triggered a landslide with rocks and soil, blocking the Kanti Lokpath.
Police teams were deployed immediately to clear the roads, but continuous rain has made the work difficult.
