Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is visiting Madhesh Province today. He will attend events in Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
At 11 a.m., he will leave for Dhanusha in a Nepal Army helicopter. In Dhanusha, he will inaugurate the Madhesh Police Office and lay the foundation stone for a road in Hanspur.
After that, he will travel to Mahottari, where he will also lay the foundation stone for a road in a place called Sonama.
The planned road will connect Raghunathpur Bazaar, Sonama, Tarahari, and Sundarpur. It will be 8.384 km long, built under the Provincial and Local Road Improvement Program, a project run in partnership with the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Madhesh Province and supported by a World Bank loan. Dhukuchhu Construction Company Pvt. Ltd. has taken the contract.
The road, which will be blacktopped, has a total budget of Rs 190,783,618 (including VAT) and must be completed by the end of Chaitra 2083.
After attending the programs in Dhanusha and Mahottari, Prime Minister Oli will return to Kathmandu today.
