Rupesh and Kiran Selected for Nepal’s T20I Squad for the First Time
Rupesh Singh from Madhesh and Kiran Thagunna from Sudurpashchim have been selected for the Nepal national cricket team for the first time.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced a 15-member squad on Friday for the upcoming Tri-Nation T20I Series in Scotland. Rupesh and Kiran are part of this final squad.
Nepal will play against the hosts Scotland and the Netherlands in the series. Lokesh Bam has also made a return to the team. Both Rupesh and Kiran were not part of the ODI squad before.
However, fast bowler Sompal Kami and all-rounder Gulshan Kumar Jha will miss the series due to injury. They were injured during practice before the last match against the Netherlands in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.
