Real Madrid Sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool

Spanish club Real Madrid has signed England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Both Real Madrid and his former club Liverpool have confirmed the transfer.

According to ESPN, Real Madrid paid Liverpool €10 million to bring Alexander-Arnold early so he can play in the upcoming Club World Cup.

The 26-year-old had already decided not to sign a new contract with Liverpool. His current deal was set to expire on June 30, 2025, and the club had announced he would leave this summer.

Real Madrid has signed him on a six-year contract. He will be part of the team’s new defensive lineup.

His first match for Madrid will be in the Club World Cup against Al Hilal on June 18 in Miami, USA.

During his time at Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League titles in 2020 and 2025.

Liverpool thanked him for his contributions in an official statement.
