In the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the USA, English club Manchester City defeated Juventus 5–2 and topped Group G.
In the final group match held last night in Orlando, City played an attacking game and finished with three wins from three matches to take first place.
Jeremy Doku scored the opening goal in the 9th minute to give City the lead, but Juventus quickly equalized in the 11th minute through Teun Koopmeiners.
In the 26th minute, a Juventus own goal by Pierre Kalulu gave City a 2–1 lead.
In the second half, Erling Haaland scored in the 52nd minute, Phil Foden in the 69th, and Savinho added another in the 75th to make it 5–1.
Dusan Vlahovic scored for Juventus in the 84th minute, slightly reducing the defeat.
With this win, Manchester City advanced to the Round of 16 with a perfect group record. Juventus also moved on as runners-up.
In the other Group G match, Al Ain FC beat Wydad 2–1, but both teams were already eliminated from the tournament.
