Nepal’s women’s football team will face Laos today in their first match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, starting in Uzbekistan.

The game will be held at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and will begin at 6:15 PM Nepal time.

This match is special for Nepal as it is the team’s 100th international game. The players are excited and want to start the tournament with a win.

It will be the first time Nepal’s women’s team plays against Laos. While the men’s teams from Nepal and Laos have met before, this is a new rivalry for the women.

Nepal is in Group F along with Uzbekistan, Laos, and Sri Lanka. Nepal has never lost to Sri Lanka in 8 matches but has not yet beaten Uzbekistan, who is the strongest team in the group.

The team that finishes first in the group will qualify for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup and gain entry to other major competitions.
