A man has died after drowning in a pond in Mahottari district. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Murari Jha from Banauli, Pipra Rural Municipality-7.
According to local resident Suman Jha, the incident took place on Wednesday evening near the Durga Temple pond. After locals reported the drowning, a rescue team from the Armed Police Force recovered the body from the water.
The District Police Office in Mahottari said they are continuing to investigate the incident.
