In the Super Three stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, Thailand has set a big target for Nepal.
Batting first, Thailand scored 158 runs for 2 wickets in their 20 overs. Nepal now needs 159 runs to win.
For Thailand, Nannapat Koncharoenkai scored an unbeaten 50 runs from just 28 balls, playing aggressively. Opener Nattaya Boochatham also scored 50 runs, while Onnicha Suwanchantha added 29 runs.
For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay and Rajmati Airee each took one wicket.
Both Nepal and Thailand have already qualified for the Global Qualifier. The winner of today’s match will be the Asia Qualifier champion.
On Monday, Nepal defeated UAE to qualify for the Global stage for the first time. Earlier on Sunday, Thailand also beat UAE to confirm their place.
Thailand is undefeated in this tournament so far. They won two matches and had two canceled in the group stage, and then beat UAE in the Super Three round.
Nepal has never beaten Thailand in a Women’s T20 International match.
