Sunsari Police Seize Over 1,100 Kg of Marijuana Hidden in Riverbed
Sunsari Police have recovered a large amount of marijuana from the sandy riverbed of the Katan Khola, located between wards 5 and 6 of Harinagar Rural Municipality.
On Tuesday night, police found 1,120 kilograms of marijuana buried under the sand. Based on a tip-off, officers searched the area and discovered 38 sacks of marijuana hidden beneath the sand.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Yogaraj Khatriwada said the seized marijuana has been brought to the Sunsari District Police Office for further investigation.
Police said they are still investigating the case.
