Flood Alert Issued for Areas Near Mohana River in Kailali

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people living near the banks of the Mohana River in Kailali to stay alert until this evening, as the water level continues to rise.

Residents in high-risk areas have also received SMS alerts from the department, warning them to take precautions.

The water level at the Mohana River’s measurement station has already crossed the warning level. As the river continues to swell, authorities have issued the alert.

As of 7:30 AM today, the water level at the station had reached 3.06 meters. The warning level is set at 3 meters, while 3.60 meters is considered the danger level.
