Continuous rainfall has displaced six families in Salpasilichho Rural Municipality-6, located in northern Bhojpur.
According to Ward Chairperson Bikram Ban, the families from Khamdak had to leave their homes after landslides started from above and below their houses. The damage was so severe that it was unsafe to stay, so they were moved to relatives’ homes and a local club building.
The displaced families are those of Bikram Rai, Bijay Rai, Dharmaraj Rai, Dalkumar Rai, Jyoti Rai, and Deuraj Rai. Police Inspector Umesh Yadav from the District Police Office said the area remains at risk due to ongoing rain and landslides.
